A few weeks ago I was on the phone with my dad who lives in Buenos Aires, talking about how possible is that an event happening in a country that is not ours could affect us so much. We were both emotional about Amanda Gorman’s poem at the US 2021 presidential inauguration.
It is simple, we are one world, and we need hope.
Amanda’s words are still resonating in my head and in my heart in a language that is not my mother tong: “For there is always light, if only we're brave enough to see it, If only we're brave enough to be it ”
